Lebanon

Until the civil war (1975-1990), Lebanon was known as the 'Switzerland of the Orient'. Despite its small size and significant challenges—influential neighbors and over one million refugees from Syria—this country is a fascinating and exciting travel destination. Its landscape is incredibly diverse (you can travel from the sea to the mountains in just a few hours) and it offers cultural highlights. Among other things, the first books in the Middle East were printed here. The photos were taken in 2013, 2023, and 2024.

The famous Sursock Museum, severely damaged in the August 2020 explosion at the port of Beirut, was rebuilt with international aid.
