The Sultan Alaeddin Cami (mosque) from the 12th and 13th century is located in the old town of Ankara, below the citadel (İç Hisar Mahallesi) and has recently been restored, but in 2019 it was in poor condition and inaccessible. The photos were taken in 2007. Historical photographs of the mosque and the wooden minbar (dated 594 H / 1197) were made by Katharina Otto-Dorn (1954-67).
