The Esrefoglu Cami in Beysehir, erected in 1299-1300, is an exzellent example of a so-called "Holzsäulen-Moschee" (wooden column mosque), a type of mosque which has been thoroughly researched by Katharina Otto-Dorn in the 1950s.
