The former National Museum in Al Ain is the first newly built museum in the United Arab Emirates (founded in 1969, and inaugurated in 1971 in the year of unification). Closed for several years due to extensive renovations and new construction, the Al Ain Museum reopened on October 22, 2025, with a completely updated exhibition.
