Sundials can be found on various medieval buildings (churches, monasteries) in Anatolia and the Caucasus (Armenia and Georgia), as well as in the Islamic world, for example in Jaipur, at the Jantar Mantar.

In addition, numerous examples of portable sundials exist, especially from the Ottoman period; here is an example from India in the Heritage Museum in Sharjah.
